Montrealers! Would you like to learn about comics from me? You’re in luck! For the last couple of years I’ve been teaching a class called Making Comics at Syn Studio in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This semester, I’m adding an advanced Making Comics 2 class that deals with more technical aspects of comics production as well as an intro to publishing. A little postscript: Merchant King’s pose in panel 2 is a direct copy of a drawing John K. did years ago; it depicted a baseball flying towards Barbara Bush’s face and it remains one of the funniest images I’ve ever seen in my life.
